Teaching

At BAMBOO we follow the learning programme, developed by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and we use the recommended system „Molivko”. Lessons are taught in Bulgarian and in English. Our tutors use engaging sources, video, and other visual aids as well as other interactive methods as part of the learning process. The children have lessons in several areas of education: Bulgarian language, English language, Math, basic and adapted Biology and environmental knowledge, Arts, Music, Constructing and technology, Sports and physical culture. During the day we also offer yoga, gymnastics, football and dance classes (for an additional fee).

Lessons and workshops are conducted in small groups, which gives the tutor the opportunity to focus on the kids and develop an individual approach to each child in accordance with their needs and interests. Children learn how to cooperate and effectively work in groups.

We strongly believe that creativity helps develop the child’s thinking and helps them express their thoughts and emotions. Therefore, at BAMBOO we encourage creative and imaginative thinking in every child. The materials used in our art classes are entirely non-hazardous and suitable for children. We have our own, specialized art classroom, where each child can feel like a real artist.

At BAMBOO we believe that each child is born with an incredible learning potential and inner drive to explore the world around. That is why we have included in our learning programme Montessori classes, led by certified tutors, who use licensed Montessori toys from natural materials. The Montessori games provoke the child to embrace and use their full potential, to experiment, explore and invent. Through the Montessori games, classes are meant to develop key skills in the child, stimulate attentiveness, memory and logical thinking, help in the assimilation of mathematical and analytical knowledge. This process takes place in a positive and encouraging environment.

Material base

BAMBOO is located in ‘Dragalevtsi’ district. This area stands out with a better air quality while being easily accessible from the city center and all eastern located neighborhoods, a few meters from ‘Cherni Vrah’ blvd. and ‘Paprat’ str.

In the back yard we have a children’s playground, in accordance to the health and safety regulations for the children’s age. At BAMBOO we teach children responsibility and care for the environment, while encouraging them to get in touch with nature. To aid with that, we have developed a vegetable garden, where the kids grow veggies and learn about the environment. During the warmer months, the arts and crafts classes are conducted outside. In the colder months sports classes and activities are led in an indoor gym on the premises.

The classrooms and indoor spaces are bright and well lit, spacious and cozy. The interior is intertwined with materials of natural origin, so that that a calm and homely atmosphere can be created. We have separate classrooms and rest/sleep rooms, an indoor gym, a musical classroom, a Montessori classroom, food quarters, a leisure, games and activities hall, and an outdoor playground. For health and wellbeing measures, we have medical office with a nurse on site, where the health care specialist is available throughout the day. BAMBOO has a certified Montessori classroom, fully equipped with licensed materials, stimulating the interest of the child and its spontaneous urge to learn.
